Isle of Man Swimming Association: ASA Poolside Helper Course

If you are interested in becoming a swimming teacher – this course is the first step. A 10 hour course is being held, commencing on Friday, 16th May, 2008 at 5.45pm, spread over five Fridays (excluding TT week). For further details contact Mary Doyle on 415322.

This course is the first step in becoming a swimming teacher, the only pre-requisite is that the candidate must be over 14 years of age by the commencement of the course.

Historically some candidates are parent helpers at school swimming. The course gives the candidates a good idea of whether they would like to become a swimming teacher particularly as the price of courses are due to rise with the new UKCC/ASA syllabus' in place.

The cost is £40 per candidate.

Thank you to Douglas Swimming Club for the use of their sessions for the practical sessions. Numbers are limited on the course so early application is recommended.

Further information is contained within the associated poster and application form. Additionally more information can be obtained from Mary Doyle on 415322.
