A message from Mike Kennish, IoMSC Treasurer

Dear Parents,

This week I have sent out 51 statements to swimmers, out of a total squad of 94, requesting correction of standing orders and/or payments of balances.

The majority of the small balances due are because standing orders have not been changed by parents.

It would be most appreciated if parents who have had statements with a note about standing orders could take action to correct the situation before the next payments of squad fees are due, 1st November. Please check your bank statements to see that you are paying the correct amount and only paying it once. If any parents need to check the correct fee they can telephone me on 825762 or email mikek{at}manx.net.

Payment of balances on statements, where no standing order correction due, is also needed by return. The club fees are not set to make a profit, therefore we run at best at breakeven. If we have squad fee balances outstanding it means we have to delay paying a supplier. Because of the conditions of supply of pool hire this could increase those costs significantly.

In addition the work involved chasing the unpaid balances or entering duplicated payments doubles what should be required from a time point of view.

Your help would be appreciated.

Yours faithfully

Mike Kennish
