Olivia Rawlinson was the sole Isle of Man representative at the inaugural UK Schools Games held recently in Glasgow. The Commonwealth Games swimmer was selected as a member of the England North team for the four-day competition.
The event brought together talented young sports people from all over the country and was designed to replicate the feel of major competitions such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Olivia swam in two events at the Tollcross Aquatic Centre, helping her team to third place in the 4x200 metres freestyle and fourth in the 4x100 freestyle.
Her races provided a good early-season workout just two weeks after returning to the pool from a well-earned summer break.
This new multi-sport event will be held in Coventry next year.
