Isle of Man Swimming Club: Wednesday evening training

To all Swimmers/Coaches/Parents.
See below regarding extra water time on Wednesdays and Transition Squad on Saturdays.

We are continually looking to evolve our programme to ensure we offer the best possible training and competition experience for the swimmers of the IoMSA.

One area that we are continually looking at and working on is to get session that finish earlier at night, the NSC have made available an extra hour on Wednesday evenings from 19:00 to 20:00 for four lanes.

In order to take advantage of this extra hour and develop the younger swimmers in the programme the following changes will come into effect from Wednesday 19th October.

Wednesdays;
19:00 - 20:20 Junior Age Group Development plus Douglas transition swimmers.
20:00 - 21:30 AGD, Youth plus some Performance swimmers.

Saturdays;
19:00 - 20:00 All Transition swimmers

We will run with this revised programme and revue as necessary to meet the needs of the programme/swimmers.

With transition swimmers gaining an extra session on Saturday evening the Treasurer will be issuing new standing orders to reflect this addition.

Note! It is important that swimmers in the programme stay for the FULL duration of each training session to gain the full advantage from the programme, it is not good practice to get out early.

Should you have any queries regarding these changes please speak to me after training sessions.

Max Stewart,
National Coach
